GOOD MEDICINE Nov. 30th, 2009 www.isgoodradio.com podcast

Back from the Thanksgiving weekend (I made gravy!) with the latest in health and medical news: Gastric distress related Emergency Department visits MAY increase during the holidays (OH RLY?). Although the obviousness of the study was enjoyed by myself and Marquis Marc, this actually turned into a conversation about overeating and obesity and further how the many symptoms of both gastric distress and heart attacks are similar. Plus a new iPhone application called "Outbreaks Near Me" that allows users to know where an H1N1 outbreak has occurred, and even when an nearby vaccines are available and EVEN how some of the inflicted are doing. THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING INSANE OVER H1N1. We also looked at the crib recall.

The back half of the show I was joined by comedian and fellow Reeds College Alum, Alan Gropman. 'Twas funny!

I played a great assortment of L.A. indie bands by way of www.isgoodmusic.com plus some personal favorites:

Alice In Chains "Them Bones"
